At
Hunters Trace Kennel our main focus is to produce and train Golden
Retrievers which will be competitive in the show or breed ring,
the obedience and tracking disciplines and will retrieve birds
for the Hunt Test participant or hunter. We call that a Tri-Purpose
Golden Retriever.
Marsha
and Ron are longstanding members of the Golden Retriever Club
of America (GRCA) and the Mile-Hi Golden Retriever Club (MHGRC).
Hunters Trace Kennel subscribes strictly to the GRCA and MHGRC
Codes of Ethics for breeders.
Hunters Trace Kennel produces a limited number of puppies each
year and, while most of those little Goldens go home to just be
members of a family, the background in their pedigrees is there
to do whatever that family wishes. It's fun to be able to do it
all!
Obedience
titles are important even to people just looking for a family
companion as they demonstrate trainability. Show titles are an
indication that the family pet will be attractive and will conform
to the Breed Standard in terms of size, weight, color and structure.
Field titles tend to verify the Golden Retriever's ability and
desire to retrieve.
